Paneer Tikka Roll Recipe a Delicious Street Style Wrap
Paneer Tikka Roll is a flavorful Indian wrap made with marinated paneer, grilled or sauteed to perfection and wrapped in a soft roti or paratha. It's a popular street food and an easy meal that can be enjoyed for lunch dinner or even as a snack.
Ingredients:
For the Paneer Tikka Marinade,
. 200g paneer (cubed)
. 1/2 cup thick curd/yogurt
. 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
. 1 tbsp red chili powder
. 1/2 tbsp turmeric powder
. 1 tbsp garam masala
. 1/2 tbsp chaat masala
. 1/2 tbsp cumin powder
. 1/2 tbsp coriander powder
. 1 tbsp lemon juice
. 1 tbsp besan
. 1 tbsp oil
. Salt to taste
For the Roll:
. 4 whole wheat rotis or parathas
. 1/2 cup sliced onions
. 1/2 cup sliced capsicum (optional)
. 1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves
. 2 tbsp green chutney
. 2 tbsp mayonnaise (optional)
. 1 tbsp chaat masala
. Butter or oil for cooking
Instructions:
Step 1 : Marinate the Paneer
. In a bowl, mix curd, ginger garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric, garam masala, chaat masala, cumin powder, coriander powder, lemon juice, besan, oil and salt
. Add paneer cubes to the mixture and coat them well. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes
Step 2 : Cook the Paneer Tikka
. Heat a pan with a little oil and add the marinated paneer
. Saute on medium flame until the paneer turns golden brown and slightly charred. You can grill or bake it at 200*C for 15 minutes
. Add sliced capsicum and cook for 2 minutes for extra crunch
Step 3 : Prepare the Roll
. Heat a roti or paratha on a tawa and apply butter or oil
. Spread a layer of green chutney and mayonnaise (if using)
. Place some cooked paneer tikka in the center
. Add sliced onions, coriander leaves and sprinkle chaat masala for extra flavor
. Roll the roti tightly and secure it with foil or parchment paper
Step 4 : Serve and Enjoy
. Serve hot with extra green chutney or ketchup
. You can also add cheese for a cheesy twist
