Maggi Manchurian Recipe a Delicious Chinese Twist
Maggi Manchurian is a unique fusion of classic Maggi noodles and the rich, tangy flavors of Manchurian sauce. This crispy, spicy and saucy dish is perfect as a snack or appetizer. If you love experimenting with Maggi, this recipe will become your new favorite.
Ingredients:
For Maggi Balls,
. 2 packs of Maggi noodles
. 1 cup water
. 1 maggi tastemaker
. 1/4 cup grated carrot
. 1/4 cup finely chopped cabbage
. 1/4 cup finely chopped capsicum
. 2 tbsp all purpose flour ( maida)
. 2 tbsp corn flour
. 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
. 1 tbsp black pepper powder
. Salt to taste
. Oil for deep frying
For Manchurian Sauce:
. 1 tbsp oil
. 1 tbsp chopped ginger
. 1 green chili (chopped)
. 1/4 cup chopped onion
. 1/4 cup chopped capsicum
. 2 tbsp soy sauce
. 1 tbsp chili sauce
. 1 tbsp tomato ketchup
. 1 tbsp vinegar
. 1 tbsp black pepper powder
. 1 tbsp sugar (optional)
. 1 tbsp cornflour mixed with 2 tbsp water (slurry)
. 1/2 cup water
. Spring onion for garnish
Instructions:
Step 1 : prepare Maggi Balls
1. Cook Maggi: In a pan, boil 1cup of water and Maggi noodles along with tastemaker. Cook until the water is absorbed and Maggi is slightly dry. Let it cool
2. Prepare Mixture: In a bowl, mix the cooked Maggi, grated carrot, chopped cabbage, capsicum, ginger garlic paste, black pepper powder, salt, all purpose flour and cornflour. Combine everything well
3. Shape & Fry: Make small balls from the mixture. Heat oil in a deep pan and fry the balls on medium heat until golden brown and crispy. Drain excess oil on a paper towel
Step 2 : Prepare Manchurian Sauce
. Saute Aromatic: Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan. Add chopped garlic, ginger and green chili, Saute until fragrant
. Add Veggies: Add chopped onions and capsicum, Stir fry for a minute on high heat
. Make Sauce: Add soy sauce, chili sauce, tomato ketchup, vinegar, black pepper and sugar, Mix well
. Thicken the Sauce: Add the cornflour slurry and 1/2 cup water. Stir continuously until the sauce thicken. Adjust salt as needed
Step 3 : Combine & Serve
. Add the fried Maggi balls to the Manchurian sauce and toss gently until coated
. Garnish with chopped spring onions and serve hot
